About: Hull Royal Infirmary

Don't even know where to start with this review other than this place is ridiculous, supposed to be there to help save lives yet don't even do the basic ins and outs when examing a patient. We visited A&E a few weeks back after a family member of ours had a bad fall, was struggling to breath and had chronic pain around their lung/ribs on the right hand side. During examination the doctor said that nothing looked like it was broken and refused to take an xray to double check (must have very clever eyes thats all I can say to see through an opaque material to know 100% no bones was broken) they listened to the patients heart and lungs and said they was nothing to worry about other than high blood pressure and to go for a 2nd ECG at our local doctors in a week to see if any change( a doctors which didn't have the equipment to carry out this ECG) further to that we left very, very unhappy with the service we had recieved and still concerned about what the problem could be as no clear diagnosage had been given,we attened our local GP a week later as they requested who knew straight away that something wasn't right within minutes and told us we was to go to Scunthorpe General Hospital the next day for an xray so they would have a very clear understanding of what this problem exactly was. Turns out the person I am talking about has 3 brokens ribs, diagnosed with COPD and lung damage. So well done Hull Royal Infirmary for being nothing but useless, doing nothing to help us. A child playing with a stethoscope could of done a better job.
