"I cannot fault the nurses and ..."

About: Russells Hall Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

I cannot fault the nurses and doctor we saw but .....................

What could be improved

The waiting time and overcrowding in a stuffy waiting room.

Anything else?

When we arrived in the fracture clinic a nurse told everyone that they were running an hour behind schedule, no reason was given. This turned out to be one hour and forty minutes. This is not good enough, we arrived 15 minutes early for our appointment, would we still have been seen if we arrived an hour or so late? This delay also meant that we then had to pay the maximum fee for the car park when it wasn't our fault we had to stay so long. No one wants to spend a morning sitting in a crowded stuffy waiting room especially when you know that you will be in with the doctor less than five minutes. Just because we are ordinary people doesn't mean we shouldn't be treated with consideration, we too have busy lives and schedules to keep.

Thank you for taking the trouble to post your comments. We always endeavor to keep waiting times to a minimum; however we do sometimes experience delays in the departments due to the complexity of some appointments.
