My wife was admitted as an emergency patient; during her stay on the ward the staff were very busy but still took the time to ensure her needs were met. At all times they were professional, cheerful, helpful and never too busy to explain what was happening and or to ensure she was all right. In our opinion, this nursing team and nurse practitioners, together with the ancillary and support staff are an examplar of how good leadership can bring out the very best in their teams. No doubt all the staff have received the training they need to do their jobs, but it is the leadership and inspiration of the senior staff which helps bring out the very best in them.

It is always easy to find fault, but with the experience we have of this ward, those would be trivial indeed and we were aware of none. Well done to all!
