Diagnosed in Huddersfield Hospital two weeks + ago
Referred to MDT (multidisciplinary team) and accepted by team at St James two weeks plus ago discharged from Huddersfield after two week stay, to wait appointment with MDT consultant
Received paperwork today for appointment in two days after I contacted specialist nurses three times(they were very helpful)
The information on todays letter is generic and very non specific so I am a very worried cancer patient that has no specific information about the length of wait for a Re-section or whether I will have to continue being patient while my tumour grows
I have been given pamphlets by the nursing team and some help with diet again at my request
So heres the nub I am the patient with a very serious condition and feel set aside worrying about any next steps and the urgency I feel of my personal needs.
I think it would be really helpful to have a named doctor as part of my handover
