About: Queen Alexandra Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

What could be improved

You name it. Rude staff, very slow emergency department even at 5am on a Tuesday morning, didn't seem clean at all in there was blood on toilet in bathroom. Saw one woman also waiting with what looked like something seriously wrong with her kidneys and passed out in waiting room, not one nurse or receptionist cared, didnt even notice she passed out until her partner woke her up. I wasnt even offered any form of pain relief despite being in severe pain. Would certainly NOT recommend this hospital to anybody, and feel sorry for people in Portsmouth who are forced to use this hospital for emergencies. You can just see from this website the amount of negative reviews it gets!

Anything else?

QA sort yourself out! If anybody is in an emergency and needs to go to hospital, if you have a choice do not use this hospital. I live in Southampton and Southampton General is amazing compared to this, in Emergency Dept you will be seen almost immediately, and given any medication and tests you need in all the time it takes for QA emergency department to even check you!
