"Worst care ever!"

About: University College Hospital

I chose this hospital for antenatal care. My first appointment when I was 9 weeks pregnant was fine, nurse was really nice and I just couldn`t be bothered about rude receptionist as I was too excited about my baby. Then when I had a miscarriage one week later I received no care what so ever. After a week of heavy bleeding I called to get check up. Rude receptionist/nurse, who was lacking some empathy, called me back saying if I was bleeding I don`t need an appointment and they won`t book me in. I went to another hospital where I had ultrasound done and found out that after all that I went through sac was still there and I needed D&C. Maybe nurse in University College Hospital was not educated enough to know what leaving retained pregnancy product can cause or they just don`t care when woman is not pregnant anymore. Would not recommend this hospital!

Thank you for taking the time to feed back to us. We are very sorry to hear about your recent experience of Maternity Services at UCLH. We would be grateful if you could contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) via pals@uclh.nhs.uk or by calling 020 3447 3042 so that we can look into this.
