"ACL Reconstruction"

Hello , My name is Alina and I live in uk for the past 5 years, last year in July I broke my ligaments and I had to wait 10 months for surgery but let me tell you that it was worth it. I had time to prepare for surgery ( started a bootcamp course in order to have my muscles at thei best) ,I studied about the surgery ,I was explained proffesionally what will happen and how the surgery will affect me. The surgery took place on 9th of May 2016 at Heatherwood Hospital with surgeon which I met before the surgery. I don't have enough words to thank the surgeon not only for their skills and care but for the fact I experienced no pain what so ever (although I had a microfracture during surgery that put me 6 weeks on crutches). I want to thank the surgeon because from nurses to physiotherapist I heard nothing but exeptional words about the surgeon and my first experience with NHS hospital was amazing. Thank you for dedicating your time to help make peoples life better. I am sure you know how much it means for me to be able to walk painless again. Thank you to all the nurses that were amazing ( I remember one member of staff was really kind when I was scared before the surgery) . My Kindest Regards and best wishes for all involved. Alina Paun.

Dear Alina

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback following your surgery at Heatherwood Hospital.

I'm pleased to read that you had a positive experience.

The team will be delighted with your comments.

If you would like to email me on claire.marshall@fhft.nhs.uk with the name of your surgeon I can make sure they get your feedback directly.

Kind Regards

Claire Marshall
