"The pain clinic 4 months wait"

About: St Thomas' Hospital (London)

After my GP referral to the pain clinic at st thomas hospital, the doctor put urgent on this to, have been told by the hospital when I got their number and rang them that its a 4 months wait. What a great way to leave patients in chronic pain with no help at all. They said they would send me letter after a week, no letter still. There is little support for people like me in chronic pain. I have never been to a pain clinic before so cant comment on treatment, only the long wait for it.

I am sorry to hear that you haven't yet got an appointment with the pain team following your referral. If you would like to contact the Complaints team on 020 7188 3514 or at complaints2@gstt.nhs.uk and provide some details to help us identify you, we can ask the service manager to look at your referral and talk to you about when you are likely to be seen.
