(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

My child was referred to the Home Talk Service due to language delay at his 2 year health check with the Health Visitor. The sessions are now complete.

I was feeling hopeful at the beginning, Chris has been very helpful and supportive by playing with H. and teaching him new words and teaching me how to bring on H. 's speech. H. looked forward to seeing what toys Chris had brought to play with. H. 's speech has improved a lot although he is still behind. I would recommend to others as it has been very helpful as well as fun for H. Chris is very helpful, supportive and friendly.

H. has enjoyed the sessions and they have helped me to help him with his speech.

Thank you so much for your feedback. It is good to hear that your son's speech has improved and you have find the sessions with Chris helpful.

I am sure he will continue to make progress. Do keep in touch with us and pop in to some of our language focused groups at your local children's centre as these can really help consolidate what you have been doing together at home with Chris. I am sure Chris will provide you details of these if you contact her.
