"Major asset"

About: Sevenoaks Hospital

Major asset for the town, and totally empty compared with A&E department in Tunbridge wells, only downside was that I was not able to be treated. It's a shame that they don't offer basic nursing services such as ear syringing - given they have doctors and nurses on site, it seems somewhat silly that they don't have the equipment to do it. Would also keep pressure off of nursing services at GP's surgerys as well, and would mean I didn't have to take time off work. Real shame for such a great asset not to be utilised properly.

Hello

Unfortunately Sevenoaks Hospital Minor Injury Unit is not currently commissioned to provide ear syringing. Your GP surgery should be able to advise where you can receive this treatment. However we are always reviewing the services delivered and this may be something we could be commissioned to provide in the future. We are also reviewing the services for the Edenbridge community with the proposal of joining the GP surgery and Hospital together under one roof. It may be that ear care can be taken into account when deciding on new services to make available there and hopefully this would then be available to the wider area of west Kent.

Best wishes
