Contacted nhs 111 who advised me an out of hours gp would telephone me the doctor did 20 minutes later. The doctor called an ambulance for me as I could hardly move the ambulance service arrived shortly after and took excellent care as they could tell I was in a great deal of pain. On arriving at a&e I had bloods taken and was wheeled into a corridor with 5 other patients about 4 hours later I was taken into a cubicle and a short time later a junior doctor introduced themselves to me and decided I needed some pain relief. Soon after I was taken for an X-ray of my spine and told that the bloods and X-ray were all clear and the doctor was going to discharge me and I would have to contact my own gp. Some of the nursing staff seemed shocked that I was being discharged as I could barely walk. Outside the hospital on lookers were horrified and one person asked are you sure you have been discharged I confirmed I had he look horrified. I feel the treatment I received was no better then as I was in a third world country.
"Discharged from a&e even though I could hardly..."
