"Disgusting!"

About: Royal Blackburn Hospital

My husband works within the trust and needed urgent treatment while on shift. When he was eventually seen, after over a 3 hour wait the dr couldn't even put gloves on to take bloods. When husband stared about infection control their response was "I forgot u worked here" . He was in uniform! The dr never offered my husband a CT scan which was needed but offered a out patient appointment for a suspected stroke! After refusing to accept their lack of treatment they eventually had to ring the on call stroke consultant who stated he needed a scan immediately and admitting. dr didn't realise that I am a nurse who has worked for the trust and also did not know he would need aspirin as I had to tell them! I was disgusted to see dried blood on the cubicle floor and after transferring to wars it didn't get better. He was left a whole weekend without a dr seeing him. Was told he could go home Monday by one dr and not by another. Total lack of communication. People's lives are at risk!
