"Breast Clinic"

About: Queen Alexandra Hospital

I had an appointment at the Breast Clinis on Wednesday. I was very pleasantly surprised to be seen just over a week after my GP's referral. There were staff on hand to help people use the new check-in system and to explain how to get to the correct place. After checking in I expected to be in the Breast Clinis for a few hours, but within quite a short time I had a mammogram and soon after an unltrasound. Not long after that I was seen by a clinician who was very thorough and inspired great confidence. All the staf were very friendly and efficient, they all seemed very competent and responded to questions and gave me the information needed. I felt very well looked after. I was kept informed of what was happening at all times and left feeling reassured. From the time I checked in at the Breast Clinic until the time I was free to leave took only about an hour. I had the impression that the department is very well run, not only were all the staff friendly and professional, the whole facility was bright and cheerful - there were even flowers on display.
