"Breast Cancer Diagnosis & Surgery"

About: Royal Hallamshire Hospital

I was referred by my GP after finding a lump on my breast, which they "didn't like the look of." I was seen at the breast clinic within a week of the referral. The diagnosis was confirmed as breast cancer & I had my 1st treatment, sentinel node removal, within 4 weeks of referral. Three weeks later, full mastectomy with reconstruction. An excellent team of professionals, my consultant is amazing, they explained every step and the consultations were/are never rushed, the breast care nurses are outstanding. I cannot praise the Breast Services department highly enough for what they have done for me.
