"appointment system"

I work and have tried to arrange appointments at this surgery but unless you can walk in and make it or sit on the phone for an age it is very difficult. Mt last non urgent attempt at an appointment was given as 3 weeks hence. Unless I called in at the surgery and grabbed an allocated appointment that is given out on a first come first served basis. Or again rang and waited to see if there was a slot again next day. this type of rationing does not work in favourof the old or people without family to help. I left having raised these issues before.
