"Cancelled Op"

About: Wythenshawe Hospital

I was booked in for a full hysterectomy on Tuesday 5th, I arrived at 7am to a lovely bunch of nurses all with big smiles considering it was that early and I had a face like thunder as I'm no way a morning person! Anyway everyone

I delt with was professional polite and completely fantastic rushing around juggling so many of us all having different ops, I had bloods got changed and went and sat in the woman's waiting room, it was clean and bright with loads of magazines to keep me occupied unfortunately after a few hours waiting due to a bed problem my op was cancelled and I was changed to go home, I droke my heart in that room as they told me there was no bed and there was just nothing they could do, my consultant hugged me nurses got me tissues and I know they all rushed around just to try and find me a bed, which for a minute they did and it looked like I would have my op, sadly after getting changed back into my gown and waiting another 30mins down at theatre the bed fell through and I got changed for the second time, I was so annoyed with the situation but not the staff, there fantastic people trying to do there best by all the patients in there care, as I walked out looking at some of there faces repeatedly telling me they were so sorry I realised how difficult there jobs must be, there over worked chasing there tails because of the management team. Even though I didn't get my op there isn't one member of staff I can fault,
