"Health visiting & community services"

About: NHS Grampian

(as the patient),

I am writing to express my gratitude to my health visitor for all the care & attention we have received as a family since the birth of our daughter in February 2016.

We have had ongoing problems with feeding since birth & have received incredible support & exceptional care from our health visitor Dionne Smith, GP practice & Specialist services.

Our care:

Very quick, responsive care.

Attentive to individual needs.

Good listener.

Treating mother & child with dignity & respect.

Open communication, given time & space to discuss problems.

Thank you once again for sharing your experiences on Patient Opinion. It is lovely to hear how care in hospital is followed up by the same high standards of care in the community.

You describe very well what matters to you and how staff have met your needs. Health professional reading this will feel reassured that the skills of listening, supporting, attentiveness, responsiveness, good communication, person-centred care and treating people with dignity and respect are the skill that are valued by patients. It is not always about what we do but how we do it and little things can and do make a big difference.

We are all very appreciative of your kind words and praise. Thank you again.

Very best wishes,
