"My whole experience at Hairmyres was a pleasure"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Dermatology

(as the patient),

I attended for a biopsy for a mole at Hairmyres. From start to finish I was so impressed with the service I received from everyone at the hospital. Staff were polite, courteous and no question was too much of a bother for them.

Special mention to Mhairi who removed my mole (apologies if the spelling is incorrect). She was professional yet so lovely, she really put me at ease during my procedure. She is to be commended for her bedside manner - it is faultless.

Again apologies for not catching the name of the health care support worker who was supporting Mhairi in this procedure but she too was so kind taking the time to go through the care leaflet with me.

As a health care professional myself I know too well the challenges facing the NHS at this time, but with staff like this it has a bright future. It is often worrying to be on the other side of the care service but I can honestly say that my whole experience at Hairmyres was a pleasure.
