"There was nothing that was too much trouble"

About: Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

I just want to say a big thankyou to the staff on the Day Surgery ward at QEQM Hospital. It's the second time that I have attended the unit and once again the care and attention that I received was wonderful. Despite the obvious pressures of patients coming and going throughout the day, as far as I was aware, everyone had their needs tended to and staff were always aware of what was happening with everyone, although the very nature of the ward means that sometimes everything is happening at once, or in totally random order. Despite all of that, when I needed some 'extra' attention after my surgical procedure, there was nothing that was too much trouble for the staff, despite them being extremely busy.

I would also like to thank the Theatre Staff, who likewise, took time to reassure me and talk to me, and also had a sense of humour - which for me is very important in such situations. Thank you all xx
