My horse knocked me out whilst training and i woke up on the floor in a pool of blood knowing it was serious . Luckily my lovely friend was to hand to rush me to QA. She did her best to stay calm and reassure me but I knew something in my head was broken. I was swept through to a bed quicker than I could register and everyone was very concerned and considerate.
I understand they had to be so sure what they were dealing with before they could give me pain relief. I was kept informed throughout and when the drugs arrived it was a relief for everyone most of all me! .Two scans later and damage confirmed I was given a full explanation of what I had broken and all the information I needed before thankfully being allowed to leave. My recovery will take a while but I have already returned to the maxiofacial department for further examination just days later. Again efficient and considerate in all respects. The nurse even grabbing my hand as I was examined... Still very painful. Doctors , nurses ,porters, radiographers and receptionists all were lovely. A massive thank you. to you all But I really don't want to repeat the experience!
