"Hospital feedback"

About: Southend Hospital

There is something of a disconnect between the needs of the patient and the industrial-style method of treatment. After a minor operation, I was basically dumped on the street, with no provision for after-care and issues arising from that operation have not been dealt with because it is impossible to communicate with anybody in charge. Telephoning has no effect - just the usual 'oh, we'll get back to you', which they never do. You are just treated like a piece of meat. Essex must be the worst health care authority in the country.

Thank you for your post and we are sorry to hear of your concerns and difficulty in communicating with our Urology Team.

As we do not have any personal identifiable information for you via NHS choices I would like to take this opportunity to give the our PALS Team contact details who will be able to look into this for you and support where they can.

Again, we are sorry to hear of this.

PALS - pals@southend.nhs.uk or call 01702 385333
