I was admitted on Friday. A&E were brilliant. The triage nurse took me straight to a lovely doctor who took me straight to X-RAY and then CT scan. I had a broken rib, punctured lung, pneumothorax and masses of air in neck and mediastinum. My voice was funny so they were worried about my airway.
I spent 48 hours on F6 Blake ward. All the staff were great and I was very well looked after. The consultant surgeon was brilliant. The consultant surgeon sent my scans to Papworth Hospital re possible transfer, but they were happy for me to stay. The consultant surgeon was very good at explaining and involving me.
