I was seen at AnE and referred straight to the eye clinic the same day which was good service. But from then on very poor. I was diagnosed with optic neuitis, within a week I was blind in one eye and in a lot of pain. It took 3 phone calls 1 to patient liaisons to get another appointment. Where I insisted to see the consultant, after I complained to them about the service and asked them if they were blind in one about to lose their job would they be expected to wait weeks for a scan. End result in for an MRI the next morning. Then told it was MS. And so after some research I found out had I been given a high dose of intravenous steroid I might have had a better outcome. So 9 months later still unable to drive hgv because my sight isn't quite good enough. But finger crossed it is getting better. No thanks to the eye clinic. Though I must say my criticism is of the doctors not the staff. Many doctors don't seem to understand what it is to work in a job that pays only stat sick pay. So they have no sense of urgency. To resolve your case.
