"VERY DISTRESFULL TIME"

About: Gloucestershire Royal Hospital

Hubby said Happy to be home. My Husband words, I was treated like I had Dementia patient. Example went to see my family off, member of Staff pointed at Toilet, said Toilet their ???, I knew where Toilet was I been enough times. Wanted to go Home, my family tried to get me out. After a lot of words were said, I escaped, but only if I agreed to take Medicines, & told if I did not, they would keep me their, & stated they would do this by saying I was Non Compos Mentis (Not of sound mind and hence not legally competent & unable to make my own decisions. Ba Humbug)

My Wife had a Phone call stating I could come Home, but only if I had a Grab Rail fitted in in Stairs, She explained we were moving in a week or two,& that our Landlord would reject this option. Then she was told to bring a bed downstairs, she & my Son are bothe Disabled. Then She was told you are moving soon you got to bring it down, bring it down early. After another Phone call concerning Grab Rail, she advised the Hospital Staff, it woud not be allowed. we were then accused of using a Bed someone in the community needed. Not true I have a very luving caring Wife & Son who will do anything for me. This has been a stresfull time for her & my Son. It gets worse than this their is so much I want to say. But I would need to write a book.

I say thank you to the Staff that were kind to me & all the others, take a long look in a Mirror, just becauce I am old,& going Death, does not mean I can not make my own decisions. You will be old yourself one day.
