"Appointment system is a mess"

About: Charing Cross Hospital

I have been referred by my GP as an urgent referral but I got an appointment after six weeks which was rescheduled. Luckily I met the neurosurgeon on 24th of June who is nice and competent. The neurosurgeon booked me for an urgent MRI which is on 5th of July and I was booked to see them on 8th of July. They also booked me for a possible surgery on 13th of July looking at my old MRI and said if there is no change in the new MRI then they will go for this surgery urgently. Today I received the letter that my appoint has been reschedule from 8th July for 13th October 2016 and I called the out patient and the receptionist told me they can't help me and should call the doctor's secretary. I'm really pleased with the consultant but the out patient booking is a mess they will book you and then will cancel you almost or every appointment. I'm really frustrated as it's an emergency and the doctor is ready to go for it urgently but the out patient booking people just cancelled my appointment and i don't know what to do now as I called the secretary and left the voice mail but I'm not sure if this is the secretary to my doctor or not as voice mail recording was suggesting it is secretory to some other consultants. Out patient team give me the secretary number :(
