"Rude Doctor"

I am writing about a very recent experience in which my Mother who has in the past suffered from a heart attack and heart operation for the first time ever passed out in the street. Not only did she loose conscious but while doing so she became very pale and started to shake with her muscles tensing and nearly falling of the bench she was sitting on. Family who was with her at the time called immediately an ambulance. After coming back to herself she said she had difficulty breathing and her vision was impaired and shortly after a similar shaking of her whole body repeated. Soon after this ended the ambulance had arrived and taken her to A & E. Also she suffers from very high blood pressure but in this situation the pressure had fallen very low.

At the hospital her first two blood results showed that the level of troponin were too high in which the Doctor decided to repeat the blood tests, however after 3 hours of waiting the Doctor simply came back and told us that everything is fine. I kept on asking the Doctor to explain to me what happened as my Mother does not speak English however they would not even look at me and continued talking to my Mother. I found the Doctor to be very rude and unhelpful and the thing that shocked me the most is that they told us that everything is fine and that this was something that happens to people who are older and that everything is normal. I asked them why was my Mother shaking, they would not explain anything to us and nothing they told us made sense, and when I asked for them to give us the test results they said that they cannot do that and that we can only get them from our GP.

Only when I went tot the GP in the morning did they tell me that what happened to my Mother was not normal and explained to me what had happened and what I have to do next.

I find that the help I received at the hospital was poor, if I had listened to this Doctor and treated what had happened to my Mother as if it was normal without taking any further steps, especially with her heart history, then who knows what can happen to her next? How can someone like her loose conscious and have a shaking fit be told this is completely normal? I was left with no answers no help no guidelines and am appalled at the support my Mother and my family got at this difficult for us time.

I think there needs to be a change made so that other family's like mine don't leave with their loved ones not knowing what happened and what they have to do, and treating a human life as if it was of no importance.
