"I attended for further investigations ..."

About: Lincoln County Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

I attended for further investigations following a routine mammogram. The staff at the breast clinic on my initial visit were very reassuring and respectful. Highly impressed with the little capes used in the clinic so I didn't feel exposed. Very important to my dignity! The staff for my initial assesment were extremely helpful and very up-beat. I felt confident about any future treatment or care.

What could be improved

Nurses, in particular the initial contact, should always use a patient's name and not call them 'lovey'. By using a person's name immediately reassures and gives them dignity. The lavatories on the gyney ward could have been cleaner. Not impressed. I didn't feel I wanted to have a wash there. The anaethetist could be more approachable, and actually tell a patient exactly what he/she will do and how the anaesthetic will be administered.

Anything else?

I was not impressed and just hope I don't have to go here again.
