"First appointment with the department after..."

Had 4 month wait for appointment but sign of times with most areas of NHS now sadly, due to cut backs by those who think they know what's best!!! However cannot praise rheumatology department enough, had 25 mins with consultant who did not rush me & extremely thorough plus answered my queries & explained what was going on. Finally got a diagnosis after 14 months of pain, was given injection there in department plus prescription for medication, referral to physio & sent for x-rays, all in 1 appointment, will be reviewed in 3 months but any queries/problems meantime told to ring department. I cannot praise all staff enough from admin to nursing to consultant for their care, attention & attitude to their patients.
