My husband had a double lung transplant at Harefield Hospital. From the very first appointment through the assessment and on to the opperation we were very well looked after and informed about everything that would happen. Our worries were always listened to and believe me there were plenty of them, but we never felt as though we were on our own. Now post opperation we still spend a fair amount of time at Harefield Hospital but they do try and make it as relaxed as it can be. I have had to make many telephone calls to the hospital to ask for advise and there is always somebody there who can help me. The support that we have had and are still getting is fantastic.
