Dermatology Department
I was referred from my GP to see the consultant, I waited over three months for the appointment, I had to travel a distance, but thought it worth it to finally get answers, help and possible treatment.
A few weeks after my appointment I received my result from the hospital together with a copy of the history the registrar had written down. The certainly didn't listen to what I said, even who my doctor was. The rest of the correspondence was printed off sheets from the first search engine on the Internet with the condition on. This was from a Zealand website and listed different treatments on the back page. I have no idea whether Im expected to travel to Zealand for treatment or just buy products off the internet.
I wanted some help with a condition that is destroying myself confidence and making me so down at times..
My advice in future would be cut out the dermatologist just go straight to the Internet, you might find a better website a bit closer to home and of course you could always check the NHS site!
Sent a letter to the hospital and an email, no replies received.
