"Orthopaedics"

About: Hereford County Hospital

After years of battling to get to even see a consultant, I was eventually referred in September of 2015 as an urgent case. I had my appointment some considerable time later after having to get my GP to chase up and numerous telephone calls by myself.

I have now been told that although the consultant agreed that it was in the best interest for my knee to be replaced, as it is now the only option available and should be done as soon as possible!

Progress so far is, pre op in first few weeks of 2016, then ....... Nothing!

6 months later I have tried calling consultants secretaries and left numerous messages to no avail.

I am now unable to work as cannot stand, walk or sit for more than 15 - 20 minutes at a time without excruciating agony. I have had to give up my business and now have to rely on my wife to support me!

I now am anxiously awaiting some contact from the hospital as now are heavily medicated with morphine to try and control pain.
