This is the 3rd patient I have visited here and the 3rd who hasn't been happy.
As a rehab centre, it doesn't seem to offer much in the way of social care, which can be as important as physical care; it feels soul-less. This patient is recovering from a broken leg, but is mainly sat in her room with little interaction with anyone. She has a sheet of exercises, but no record of regular help with these, and seems to be down to the family to encourage. Her family are concerned - but find it difficult to find the right people to talk to - and some 3 months since the accident, there is still no social worker allocated, and little discussion about the way forward.
When visiting during daytime, there are reception staff, but on evening and weekend visits, when you press the bell to enter, the door is just unlocked to allow entry - no check on who is entering, and no advice as to where a patient may be located -and often difficult to find a member of staff to help. I have wandered for a fair amount of time and never been challenged as to who I am and purpose of visit. Your records of staffing certainly don't reflect what I've seen.
