I was in the A& E department from around 3: 00am – 9: 00 am without being seen by a doctor at which I decided to leave and seek treatment elsewhere. Although there were a few other people in A&E it was not crowded out, though ambulances were arriving during that time with casualties.
When I asked how long it would be before I was seen the staff just said they could not tell and there was nothing they could do about it due to all the cuts. The hospital was the only A&E point for south west Wales, this seems ridiculous given the area it covers.
Other people who had no connection with me also left around the same time, some had been there longer than me.
