"Knee operation"

About: Grantham & District Hospital

I went to A & E in May 2016 because my knee was locked and couldn't free it.

It was a busy time with an estimated wait time of 3 hours.

When it was my time I was examined and sent for an X-ray .

Some manipulation was tried but with no success.

I was offered a couple of options which included being admitted to a ward with a view to operating over the weekend. Imagine my delight to be informed that the Surgeon had an available slot the next morning.

I was taken to theatre at 9.30am and discharged that afternoon.

A further point I had not had any food since breakfast, the Nurse in A&E brought me a delicious sandwich and a cup of tea. Thanks for that.

I have just seen the surgeon to get signed off, the surgeon was charm itself and shook my hand and said to get back to them if I have any problems..

Can't praise my treatment enough

Response from United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust

Dear Pat,

Thank you for the reply, I will ensure the staff get to read it as they will be pleased to know you are appreciative of their care.

They all work really hard to give quality patient care and when we get this type of feedback it boosts their morale and makes coming to work really worthwhile.

Thanks again,

Julie Record
