I had 4 wisdom teeth extracted yesterday under general anaesthetic. I had been told lots of horror stories by people before my op so was naturally nervous.
I just want to say, I was more than pleased with the way in which I was treated throughout the entire process. I had been suffering for a few months with my teeth but every time I called the oral surgery dept for updates, the receptionists did their utmost to assist and my date got moved forwards where possible.
I was seen at 9.30 yesterday and was on my way home by 11.30 after having a general anaesthetic. There is NOTHING to worry about, obviously every person is different but I'm sure if there had been complications yesterday I would have received all of the necessary care.
I don't know why people always feel the need to share their horror stories when they hear someone is having treatment. I think so long as you follow the advice of the medical experts and take other peoples opinions with a pinch of salt you'll be fine!
