"Angry ??"

On particular doctor from maxillofacial made an absolute mistake with an unprofessional judgement call yesterday with our child. Our little boy is suffering with acute pain in his jaw due to suspected abscess. He had all the symptoms of infection, high temperature, swollen face and complaining of terrible pain under his back right molar. This doctor sent us home without antibiotics! After an afternoon in the walk-in at Mill Lane, then an hour spent on the phone trying to contact an emergency dentist with no joy and two wrong numbers given to us I may add, we ended up at A&E. Despite this I would highly commend another particular doctor as they initially stated he would need antibiotics and on our return, sure enough we left the second time with this much needed medication, albeit gone midnight and also due to the maxillofacial department being closed without any staff on duty. We're now about to leave for the 'emergency' dentist appointment for 9.30am. Furious with the doctor from maxillofacial, they could have been much more compassionate and professional, awful judgement call on their behalf and I'm no trained medical professional. It was obvious he needed a course of antibiotics.
