I gave birth to my little boy 30th May, he is my first child and as a result I was extremely nervous about the birth and just generally being in hospital. However, I have to say the help and support we received at Lister was absolutely incredible. Throughout my labour I was looked after by 3 fantastic midwives ( and then at the end a fantastic team of doctors as we had to go to theatre) who guided us through the whole process and listened to any worries or concerns with care and kindness, explaining everything that was happening so that we felt at ease. Following the birth we had to stay in hospital for a week. Both myself and little man were looked after incredibly well, not only this but I was helped with breast feeding by specialists which meant that on our return home we felt confident about feeding. We must have been looked after by about 40 different people from midwives to doctors to neonatal nurses and our experience with every single person was fantastic. I could not recommend this hospital more and feel very grateful for the experience we had.
"Amazing experience"
