"Being an in and out patient at Blenheim Head and Neck ward"

About: Churchill Hospital / Clinical oncology

(as the patient),

I was diagnosed with Melanoma three months ago and since then have been admitted to this ward twice and made numerous visits to the outpatient team. I had spent little to no time in hospital throughout my entire life but the care, attention and professionalism of the nursing staff and doctors around and during my two operations was outstanding. If you are being treated by Blenheim Head and Neck ward as a patient you should feel in good hands! if your staying in for surgery though make sure you have a plan for food parcels, food is not very good.

Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback. We're so glad to hear that, during a very difficult time, the Head and Neck staff were so helpful and supportive. As a Trust we continually strive to deliver excellent care with compassion and professionalism, so it is great to receive feedback that confirms that this aim has been met. Your comments will be passed on to the team.
