"Reluctant visit to the Gastro unit"

With great reluctance I had to visit the gastro unit yesterday - I was greeted in a polite & friendly manner & treated with dignity,respect & concern throughout the whole procedure. I could find no fault whatsoever from start to finish - the unit was immaculately clean & tidy;

the staff were all extremely polite & friendly; all appeared to be a well-established team that worked very well together & I felt fully informed & in control of my treatment. I was offered pain relief but didn't need it - I managed with Entonox (which surprised me- I'm a coward!)

I would have no hesitation at all in recommending BRI Gastro unit to anyone having doubts about treatment there. Thank you to all staff concerned - you are all stars! xx

We are very grateful to you for taking the time to send us your feedback about your experience at the Gastro unit, and it is fantastic to hear that you had such a good experience of care, especially when you felt nervous and worried as many people do when they have to have this kind of procedure. We are pleased too that the unit was clean and tidy, and to know that the recent improvements to the area are making a real differece for patients.

I will make sure the Matron for the area, the Sisters on the unit and the medical team are aware of your comments, and I know they will really appreciate it.
