"Waiting for urgent referral"

I attended the visual fields dept 3rd June 2016 as a referral from my neurosurgeons, due to further difficulties following brain surgery & radiotherapy.

I was told after having the test (the person doing the test was brilliant by the way)that I should wait while they speak with one of the consultants to see if I could see them same day about an issue.

Unfortunately as they were busy, the consultant said to wait and reception would book me an urgent appt within 2 days.

After waiting I was told by reception that this couldn't be done as the Secretary to the consultant was not available, so they would send a letter in the post.

After checking with them several times over the next week/few days, they are still 'waiting' because again the 'person' who has to see to this is either off or unavailable!

I was promised a call yesterday & this has again not happened..So much for an urgent request! I am still waiting 3 weeks on..
