"Ambulance staff 5 star- A&E doctor 2 star"

About: Gloucestershire Royal Hospital

I was taken by ambulance to Gloucester Royal by ambulance after a nasty fall in which I broke my wrist. They were caring, careful and kept me informed- even though I was woozy of everything that was happening and would happen next. Excellent service, couldn't fault it.

A&E Doctor didn't keep me informed, treated me as though I was an idiot. I was not shown the x rays nor told what was happening or would happen. Suddenly given the most painful injection into my broken bone without gas and air nor being told what would happen. Traumatic!

I waited 3 hours with no idea of why or for what! I understand I may have to wait, but some indication of why, how long and what for would be helpful. People are endlessly forgiving if given information!
