"Outpatients outpatients clinic chaos"

About: Gloucestershire Royal Hospital

I arrived on time for my appointment, only to be told that the clinic was running 1hr 10 mins late. I asked what major incident had occurred, only to be told that every clinic ran this late as appointments are made every 3 mins. With a broken leg it could take that long to stand up from your chair in the waiting room! It was like a third world country in the waiting room with literally hundreds of people waiting.

This is unacceptable, make appointment times more realistic and/or text/ post it on the web site people to tell them you are running late. Again, no information was given apart from the ticker tape display, which after an hour said they were now running 1 hr 50mins late. People will wait because they have to but will do so much more happily if kept informed along the way. The nursing staff were lovely and trying their best, they need help to deliver a more efficient and professional service.
