"My recent experience - broken wrist"

About: Chesterfield Royal Hospital

My 1st visit as a patient via ambulance to A&E , EMAS were brilliant , I felt confident and reassured, I then found the hospital internal communication disappointing, leaving me concerned about my care. That was until two weeks later when I discovered I required surgery and met the trauma nurse. This person deserves a medal for their professional friendly approach in dealing with patients. They provided me with every confidence required prior to having my surgery. The

NHS would benefit from more people like this; those proud to be part of an institution that cares. Thank you for my positive experience .

Thank you for your post - which is really good to read in parts and I'm pleased that overall you feel you've had a positive experience.

It is disappointing though that some of our communication could have been better as it left you worried.

I'll be passing your post on to staff so I'm sure this will be a focus for improvement.

In the meantime I hope your surgery went well and that you've made a good recovery.

Best wishes Sarah Turner-saint head of
