After a terrible fall my grandmother was taken to A&E the service was very slow and poor the first nurse that saw her did not know how to do an ECG... The nurses were not coordinated and no one knew who did what or who was supposed to do what. At one point a nurse walked into the cubicle asked her name and was told her name several times, this nurse continued to ask then took my grandmothers hand to look at her name. After the they walked out and said to their colleagues "it's not her". The doctor that treated my grandma refused to do an X-ray on her head although she had fallen, hit her head and had a visible bruise. After pleading with the doctor they gave her an X-ray. I felt that my grandma was neglected and that the general service was poor, we sat in the hospital for more than 5 hours and had to kick up a fuss for her to be seen quicker.
