"Antenatal classes (breastfeeding workshop and parent craft session)"

About: East Surrey Hospital / Maternity

(as the patient),

I was offered those antenatal classes by my community midwife. I attended both classes and found them absolutely excellent.

Despite being told that doing other privately run sessions will cover the same topics, I found that advise completely wrong. The sessions run by the NHS were better than other classes by miles! The information provided is very clear, accurate, scientific and factual. I found other classes to be a waste of time. Having spent over 10 hours in nct classes, the total of 6 hours spent on the nhs sessions were so much better and more useful. I'd like to be offered more sessions as they are invaluable. I'm now feeling much more confident.
