"Terrible!"

About: Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital

My 82 year old mother was admitted with chest pain. We live 40 miles away from the hospital and I don't drive,so I couldn't be with my mother. I had to call the hospital 10 times before I got any information!

And to actually speak to someone who was involved in my mother's care,I had to go through 4 different departments! Ridiculous!

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am sorry that you were unable to see your mother in hospital, I can imagine this must have been upsetting for you. I am deeply concerned that you had such difficulty receiving information about your mothers care. I would like to look into why this was. Please could you email me the details of the telephone numbers you contacted? This is will allow me to raise your concerns with the relevant staff/departments. My email address is Annie.Laverty@nhct.nhs.uk.

Kind regards,

Annie
