What I liked
I recently attended outpatients C (portacabin)
with my mum who will be having orthopaedic surgery at NMGH next month.
She attended a pre op clinic and was seen by the doctor, physio, OT, ward staff and clinic staff. The clinic was very well organised, I was very impressed.
We were even given drinks and a sandwich at lunchtime.
All our questions were answered and more.
What could be improved
The ward staff member we met was not very enthusiastic, they did not introduce themselves or the student nurse to us, they presumed my mum knew all about the op from reading the leaflets.
Not a very good representitive for the ward that my mum will be staying on.
