About: Leighton Hospital

Visited Leighton hospital for the first time on 22/06/16,with an appointment in the Urology section.First impression was that the reception area was well organised,the board with the names and designations of the medical staff was a nice touch,including the length of any waiting times.All the staff I encountered were courteous and friendly,dispensing refreshments when treatment was delayed.Overall,the attention I received was excellent.............contrasting favourably with the practice at the N.Staffs. hospital which I've previously attended.Unfortunately this does not apply to the Patients Transport Service since very long delays were encountered on the journeys to and from Leighton Hospital.

I am very pleased that you had such a positive experience whilst attending the Michael Heal Unit for your Out Patient appointment and will pass on your comments to the staff in the department.

Staff are always appreciative of feedback from patients which help to improve practice and ensure that the needs of our community are being met. In relation to the delays you experienced, the transport services are provided by the North West Ambulance Service. I am sure they would be happy to discuss these issues with you if you wanted to contact their patient experience team. They can be contacted on 0345 112 6500.
