"Great Department - better than going private!"

About: Chapel Allerton Hospital

After almost 6-7 months of constant pain and worry about what was wrong with me (a private Dr advised Vasculitis then back tracked to 'an episode of vasculitis'...)

The doctor quickly alleviated worry and took me down the right route of treatment to alleviate my pain by referring me to the neurology department - equally as good! I didn't have vasculitis after all... Felt the private Dr was a know it all who scared me by blurting out all about vasculitis and what treatment if need etc to then back track!

My symptoms 12 months later have returned again (headaches, nausea, sinus pain, unbalanced feeling at times) had my bloods which showed non specific p-ANCA and a nurse working with my doctor has quickly responded to alleviate concerns of vasculitis reassuring me she spoke to the doctor who confirmed it's not vasculitis! The nurse advised the doctor is advising my gp another possible referral for further investigation. This is what patients need... Calm, logical, clear team communication and progress with treatment. Hopefully soon my symptoms will be resolved and not worsen as they did last year! Feeling positive and in safe hands :-)
