"excellent care on day surgery on knee"

I recently had a knee operation done at Louth hospital. From arriving on fotherby ward the staff was excellent. I was shown to my bed once paperwork was done and everything was explained to me that I was first into theatre. The surgeon and anaesthetics team were brilliant putting me at me at ease and took into account that everytime I go under general I'm ill so they said they would sort that and I will fine when wake up in recovery. The recovery team was brilliant looking after me giving me extra blankets as was shivering. once was back on the ward and settled on the bed the nurses came and brought me a coffee which was really appreciated and when asked if could another they brought me another. The staff on Fotherby ward give their patients the best care and are so friendly and nothing is to much for them. the ward is lovely and clean and couldn't of asked for a better ward to be on. Other hospitals could learn from the fotherby ward team. I would highly recommend louth hospital as should I require any more operations I would like to go back to louth for them. they done say that you will be out (if day surgery) by a set time. they say to you go when you feel ready and up to going which is good. Thankyou to all that was involved in my procedure and to the nurses for making my stay a pleasurable one .
